AVIRT is active shooter response training with the addition of techniques on how to stop the bleed of victims.


A certification is issued upon successful completion of the course.

How long does active shooter training take?

The duration varies based on the course format and level of instruction required. Training typically includes a mix of hands-on exercises, situational awareness drills, and emergency response techniques, ensuring participants leave with practical skills they can apply immediately.


Course Length:

100% in-person sessions last approximately 3 hours.


Blended learning sessions last approximately 1.5-2 hours. Blended are optimal - the in-person session is about half the length of the 100% in-person course.


All courses include hands-on training, realistic drills and education with encouraging tips and feedback.
