Heartsaver® CPR/AED

Who should take this course:

The AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Course is intended for individuals with little or no medical background who require a course completion card in CPR and AED use to fulfill job, regulatory, or other obligations.

What does this course cover?

• Discuss the benefits of high-quality CPR for increasing survival rates

• Clarify the principles of the Chain of Survival

• Identify when CPR is necessary

• Execute high-quality CPR on an adult

• Detail how to perform CPR with assistance

• Deliver effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all ages

• Show how to operate an AED on an adult

• Execute high-quality CPR on a child*

• Show how to operate an AED on a child*

• Execute high-quality CPR on an infant*

• Explain when and how to assist a choking adult or child

• Show how to assist a choking infant*

*Child and infant modules are optional.
